Strategy, guidance, and teamwork explained.
Aside from having the knowledge necessary to resolving your case, the most important consideration in selecting a lawyer is that they are a good match for you and your specific situation.
Our Consultation Process
The consultation is simply a conversation with one of our attorneys at no cost to you. Consultations will generally last for 1 hour, and most consultations are in-person at our office. A video meeting can be scheduled upon request. The meeting is to determine where you stand regarding your legal matter, and what your options are so you can make the best possible decision to move forward.
The first step is to schedule a free consult by calling our office at (541) 243-4458 or by filling out the contact us form.
A Flinn Law Northwest Client Relations Associate will contact you to request additional information to provide to your attorney. The Client Relations Associate will inform you of the name of the attorney you will speak with and will provide you with information regarding the attorney scheduled to perform your consultation.
The Client Relations Associate will also perform a conflict check to ensure that Flinn Law Northwest is able to represent you. Once you are finished speaking with a member of the Client Relations team, we will send you an email confirming your appointment time and date.
While it is impossible to predict what will happen during the case process, it is important that clients leave their initial consult feeling they have been heard and understood. Initial preparations can help make that first meeting more productive.
Here are a few tips to help you prepare:
- Bring any relevant court documents (summons, subpoenas, transcripts, orders, etc.) pertaining to your case or action.
- Bring any other relevant documentation (records, filings, evidence, etc.) that might have a bearing on your legal matter.
- Think about what you want to have happen with respect to your legal matter. We will be better able to help you if you know the outcomes you desire.
- Prepare to be honest. Everything you say will be treated with utmost confidentiality, so you can feel comfortable talking freely with us.
- Review the facts. We may ask you some tough questions, but it is to your benefit to share all relevant aspects of your issue with us.
- Consider any questions you may have. We will do our best to answer them candidly and with as much detail as you need.
During your consultation, the attorney will go step by step with you through your legal issue and give you practical advice on how to proceed. They will review the facts of your case, answer any questions you may have, and discuss the merits of your case. Then they will present you with options on how best to proceed with your case and what your suggested plan of action should be.
At the conclusion of your first consultation, we will fully explain our fees for your type of legal issue. It may be impossible to quote exactly how much your case will cost start to finish, particularly if your legal issue is complex or involves unforeseeable circumstances.
